About the book

A string of tragedies and heartbreak lead Bowen Okai down a path of depression, alcoholism and drug abuse. Set in the fictional town of Port Harding on the north shore of Long Island, the story delves into Bowen’s past, examining the factors and circumstances that contributed to his downward spiral, and why it was so difficult for him to recognize he needed help. After getting clean, Bowen struggles to reconcile his past with the person he wants to be, and finds himself ruminating in old memories, trying to make sense of his fate and find his way in life without the crutch of drugs and alcohol.
